The Mitchell County Democratic Party (MCDP) will host a booth at the 79th Annual Rhododendron Festival Craft Fair in Bakersville, NC on June 19-20, 2026. The booth will be open from Noon to 5:00 p.m. on June 19th and from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on June 20th. At our booth, we will distribute copies of The U.S. Constitution And Fascinating Facts About It as well as campaign information/materials on all of our Democratic candidates involved in the November 2026 election. Our booth also will serve as a meet-and-greet venue for all of our Democratic candidates that attend the event to meet the voters of Mitchell and surrounding counties.

This event will require MCDP volunteers over the two-day period to staff the event as well as set up our booth (either on the evening of June 18th or at 10:00 a.m. on June 19th) and disassemble it (at 4:00 p.m. on June 20th). A volunteer coordinator will be named in the very near future who will circulate and maintain a volunteer sign-up sheet for individuals to sign up for specific time slots.
