Come join us in Burnsville for the 2025 Unity Picnic!

It will be a good old-fashioned country picnic and pig pickin’ as we bring together friends and neighbors from Yancey, Avery, Mitchell, and McDowell Counties for an afternoon of food, fellowship, and unity in the mountains.

Whether you’re a lifelong Democrat, an unaffiliated voter, or just curious about what’s going on in our communities — all are welcome! This is about pulling up a chair, passing the coleslaw, and talking about how we can move forward together.
